Privacy Policy
Refraktor Pro is a Ziola project. Contact: computer@refraktor.tech
Refraktor Pro is a Chrome extension that discovers the WebMCP tools a web page exposes
and invokes them on your behalf using managed AI models. This policy explains what we
process and why. Our guiding principle: we do not store the content of your requests,
the page's data, tool results, or voice transcripts.
What we process
- License key — stored locally in your browser and sent to our backend to
verify an active subscription. On our servers it is stored only as a SHA-256 hash,
never in plain text.
- Your request & page tools — when you ask something, your message plus
the current page's WebMCP tool definitions and results are sent to our backend
(api.refraktor.tech) and forwarded to the model you selected (Anthropic, OpenAI, or
Google) to generate the next action. This content is not stored by Refraktor.
- Aggregate usage — for each request we record the model name, the number of
tool calls, a success/error outcome, a timestamp, and your hashed license key. This
contains no prompts, arguments, results, or transcripts.
- Payment & account — payments are handled by Stripe. We store your email
and Stripe identifiers to manage your subscription and issue license keys. We never
receive or store card numbers.
- Voice — voice input uses your browser's built-in speech recognition, which
sends audio to Google for transcription. Refraktor does not receive or store audio;
it works only with the resulting text, on your device, until you send it.
How we use it
- To run the single model turn you requested and return the result.
- To verify your subscription and issue or recover license keys.
- To protect the service (per-key rate limiting) and understand aggregate usage.
We do not sell or share your data, use it for advertising, or use it to assess
creditworthiness. We do not use it for any purpose unrelated to running Refraktor Pro.
Service providers
We rely on these processors to operate the service:
- Anthropic, OpenAI, Google — model inference for the request you make.
- Google — browser speech recognition for voice input.
- Stripe — subscription payments and billing management.
- Resend — license-recovery emails.
- Vercel — hosting; Neon — our database (hashed keys + aggregate usage).
Retention
License and subscription records are kept while your subscription is active and as
needed for billing/legal purposes. Aggregate usage logs are retained for operations.
We do not retain your prompts, tool data, results, or voice transcripts.
Your choices
- Manage or cancel your subscription anytime via the billing portal at
refraktor.tech/account.html.
- Request access to or deletion of your account data by emailing
computer@refraktor.tech.
- Voice is optional — the extension is fully usable by typing.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected on this page.
